The fuel-injected 4.5L V8 features an overhead cam and delivered 230 horsepower paired with a 3-speed automatic transmission. The suspension is fully independent and 4-wheel disc brakes came standard. Enjoy the great ride with the removable hardtop on, with the convertible soft top, or an awesome open-air roadster experience. This example received a new top and carpet in 2019.
The red exterior over black vinyl interior is a classic combination that looks great especially because it is accented by chrome wheels, mirror caps, and other exterior trim pieces. This car features soft top, factory hardtop, power steering, power brakes, and much more. This car runs and drives great and is a really solid example of the classic Mercedes summer roadsters!
The SL class has been a top luxury line of production cars for decades producing ahead of the pack features, comforts, and performance. The R107 model SL came onto the scene in 1972. Oddly enough the stronger 4.5L V8 was ready to go in October of 1972 and would become the 450 SL in 1973, but the cars remained with the 350 SL badge until the new year.
