1996 Jaguar XJS 2+2

Description

1996 Jaguar XJS Convertible, 78,000 miles. Runs and drives great. Inspected, licensed and driven daily. No rust on entire vehicle. The following discrepancies exist: Drivers seat needs recovered, seat does not move front and back. Top has a mind of its own (works electrically randomly). Front headlight washers don't work (have not looked into). Clear coat on top of fenders is peeling (wet sanded 2000 grit and buffed out). I have replaced all four tires, original were found to be dry rotted.  Rack and pinion had leak at passenger side boot, it has been replaced. Top's electrical switch replaced (still did not solve erratic operation). All other items operate as designed. This is typical British car, its strength lies in sporty looks, mechanically sound runs beautifully. Electronics are its weakness. reason for selling: I am in middle of body off rebuild of 71 Triumph TR6, it is getting tougher to find time and funds to finish both. This is a very honest and upfront sale. Very nice driver worth taking to next level.
Washed car other day, now passenger window will not go down. Will sell to highest bidder. Car is excellent driver, draws attention on every cruise. Car appears to be very original.
