    Description

    36" 1882 W. S. REED WOODEN BATTLESHIP BOAT "COLUMBIA" PULL TOY
    Made of paper lithograph over wood, this wonderful LARGE carpet push / pull toys rarely survived, due to their fragile construct. Almost complete, I do not believe all parts are original. All photos on this listing are related to this item for sale.
    Printed on the deck "Pat. July 24, 1877 Reissue May 16 1882". The deck lifts up on this model and all pieces can be packed within the hull.
    The W. S. Reed Toy Company was founded in 1875 in Leominster, Massachusetts.
    Many of the same styles in the W.S. Reed Toy Collection also appeared in the Bliss Toy Company Line.
    It's not clear to me why, but this exact boat has been documented with both toy copies as it's makers.
    Due to it's Large fragile nature this toy ship will cost a little more to safely ship. I can credit you a any savings I get on shipping.
