    Description

    THE LAST OF SHEILA (1973)
Set of thirty (30) 8 x 10" (20 x 25 cm.) vintage photos, USA. James Mason, Dyan Cannon, Raquel Welch, dir: Herbert Ross; Warner Brothers. One with a diagonal crease, overall JUST ABOUT FINE.
Co-written by Stephen Sondheim and Anthony Perkins, and Sondheim's only credit as a screenwriter. A mystery tale about a group on a one-week Mediterranean cruise on a yacht, in which the guests play a cruel game which revolves around each one's most embarrassing secrets being revealed. The object of the game is to discover everyone else's secrets while protecting their own. The secrets vary from "YOU ARE A HIT-AND-RUN DRIVER" to "YOU ARE A HOMOSEXUAL" to "YOU ARE AN ALCOHOLIC" and so on.
Sondheim was already a very famous author of groundbreaking musicals. Perkins, who was a closeted gay man, never wrote another script. This was their only collaboration.
