was a 1985-86 musical revue that ran off-Broadway, at the Minetta Lane Theatre. Book and lyrics were by
Marta Kauffman,
David Crane and Seth Friedman. (Kauffman and Crane went on to create the uber-successful sitcom
Friends
with Kevin Bright.) Music was by
Alan Menken, Steven Schwartz,
William Dreskin, Joel Philip Friedman, Seth Friedman and Michael Skloff.
The show, which was very clever, was nominated for a Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Musical. Reading the pre-Friends and pre-Disney bios of Kauffman, Crane and Menkin is a throwback.
This Playbill is from March 1986 and is pristine. It features a story about creating the show Nunsense and a photo of Peter MacNicol in Rum and Coke.
