    Description

You will be receiving the exact scanned stamps shown. This particular lot includes Scott's numbers 230, 231, 232, 233, 234, 235, 236, and 237. A whole lot of classic stamps! These stamps correspond to the 1 to 10 cent stamps of the Columbian commemorative series released in 1893. This series commemorated Columbus in North America 400 year prior. This is the first United States commemorative series, making it a standard for US collections.
There are a number of great features to these particular stamps. Some, like the 2, 6, 8, and 10 cent have minimal or light cancels. The 3 cent in particular has an interesting, well-centered New York cancel, and the 5, 6, and 10 cent stamps all feature similar oval cancels. Centering is terrific on several examples. Please note the condition of the 5 cent stamp- there are tears in the lower left and upper right. The listed 2020 Scott's catalog value of these stamps is .70.
No color adjustments or modifications have been done on the scan, though the color you'll see when looking at it in-person tends to look more vibrant and dynamic! There's no need to put your faith in a listing using a stock photo; zoom in on the high-resolution scan above to examine these stamps in great detail.
While some sellers use vintage stamps for postage, I ship with a modern issue commemorative forever stamp or shipping label to ensure the post office continues to receive revenue from new stamp sales. However, I will include a random mix of a couple used US or international stamps with your purchase to still provide the excitement of receiving something unexpected!
