    Description

    A very lightly used #117 that’s so lightly canceled that it could be seen as an Unused example. This 1869 pictorial stamp with G grill, has a double grill (2 grills) with one of them being a split grill! You will probably never find another one of these for sale, certainly not one that is so lightly canceled & completely sound, & I can guarantee If you ever do the price will be double this at the least! CV for double grill is 0, Split grill is 0, but there is no noted value of a double grill with one split in the Scott specialized catalog of Us stamps and covers. They do have a listing for a double grill with one being split into 4, but under the value is a — meaning there is probably only one single copy out there.. This may very well be a One of a kind as well!
