Vintage Ceramic Horse Figurine Rearing Black Stallion Art Pottery Statue 1970s

Thrifting find. Ceramic horse figurine, in a shiny black glaze. This semi-rearing Black Stallion is about 8” tall and 7” wide. It reminds me of the Made in Japan horse figures I had as a kid in the 1970s, but there are no marks. The glaze is thin along his mane, and there are two bits of glaze loss there as well that I tried to show in the pictures. There is a touched-up area on the tail about the size of a pinhead. There is some glazed-over roughness along the base, and some marker staining inside where the thrift store price was written. Otherwise, no crazing or cracks.
