I am pleased to offer this Rare Vintage J. Chein Groceries Mechanical Horse-Drawn Delivery Cart!
This early J.Chein pull toy is made of brightly lithographed tin.  The horse is very detailed on both sides.
The cart has a driver on each side of the tin, and very vibrant lithograph colored patterns.
The interesting attribute of this toy is the mechanical horse legs.  As the front wheels turn, the design moves the legs like the horse is walking.  There is a small hole near the mouth of the horse for a pull string.
I don't believe it to be original to the toy, but it's certainly an interesting marriage.
Measures approx. 10-1/2" Long x 3" W x 4-1/4" H
Condition:
This vintage Chein Toy is in very good condition, showing some very light scratching an minimal loss to the litho. The litho on the horse shows moderate crazing (See photos). There are some slight dents to the wheels, and very light oxidation on the underside.
